What is Protein Intake Calculator?
Protein Intake Calculator is a free browser-based tool that estimates daily protein needs from your body weight, age, gender, height, activity level, and selected formula settings. It shows a practical daily target, grams per kilogram, nutrition reference ranges, and a simple meal split.
The tool is built for quick planning: muscle gain, weight loss, maintenance, meal prep, fitness tracking, and general nutrition awareness.
Why We Built It
Many protein calculators either hide the assumptions or give a single number without context. This site keeps the calculator first, supports US and metric units, and shows comparison ranges so the result is easier to understand.
How It Works
The calculator uses body-weight protein factors alongside common energy-estimation formulas such as Mifflin St Jeor and optional Katch-McArdle. It also displays ADA, AMDR, and WHO-style reference views to help you compare your target with broader nutrition guidance.
Privacy First
Your calculator entries are processed in your browser. The calculator does not require an account, and your body measurements are not submitted to a server by the calculator.
Important Note
This tool is for educational planning and is not medical advice. If you are pregnant, managing kidney disease, recovering from illness, or following a clinical nutrition plan, confirm your protein target with a qualified healthcare professional.
